Will the upgrade effect my new car warranty?
With a few exceptions most upgrades are performed without disturbing the ECU, but some require the ECU to be opened. We do not de- solder any components within the ECU. Where we have to open the ECU this operation would affect the new car warranty. When the ECU is programed over OBD2, once the file has been put back to standard, no trace of the modification is left. If required all upgrades come with the original file where possible and are completly reversable. However if the vehicle was tested with the upgraded software installed, the upgrade would be seen, and would affect you warranty.
What if my dealer upgrades my vehicle software while its having a service?
Just bring it back and we will re-install the software free of charge.
It has not given me the increase in power you said it would?
If we are unable to, for whatever reason get you the power figures we quote, return the ECU or car to us and we will reset the car to standard and offer a full refund for the cost of the upgrade. We do not cover transport costs. As a note, this has not yet happened in our history. All we ask for is a Dyno Dynamics Shootout before and after dyno sheet from an acredited Dyno Shootout operator.
